The Boys var tillsammans med Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned och Generation X del av den första vågen av brittiska punkband i mitten på 70-talet. Och det första som 1977 fick ett albumkontrakt.

De kliver den 11 december upp på Kolingsborgs scen i Stockholm. Detta blir Londonbandets första spelning någonsin i Sverige.

Högt ansedda av musikpressen och samtida band ledde deras popinfluerade framtoning och stämsång kombinerad med scennärvaro och energi till att de fick epitetet ”The Beatles of punk” när debutalbumet ”The Boys” gjorde sitt intåg på de brittiska listorna i september 1977.

Norrmannen och en av The Boys grundare, Casino Steel, har på bandets första Sverigesbesök sällskap av dalkarlen Martin ”H-son” Hansson som sitter bakom trummorna. H-son bor till vardags i Oslo och spelar i norska Backstreet Girls.

Torsdagen den 9 december inleder The Boys sitt fyra dagar långt Stockholmsbesök med att gästa Morgonsoffan i TV4. Där blir de intervjuade och spelar 2-3 låtar.

The Boys som återuppstod 1999 i Japan, efter ett 17 år långt uppehåll, har sedan dess spelat i ett flertal länder på både klubbar och festivaler. Spanien, Italien, Tyskland, USA, Argentina, England, Norge, Slovakien är ytterligare några av länderna som besökts. Och i vår blir det en ny latinamerika- turné där Argentina, Brasilien och Uruguay kommer att besökas.

Bandet är i originaluppsättning förutom att originaltrummisen Jack Black pga ryggproblem inte är med.

Lite trivia:
The Boys var förband till The Ramones på deras turné i Storbritannien 1980. Joey och Johnny Ramone var stora fans av The Boys vilket t ex gav sig uttryck att de använde sig av The Boys- låten T.C.P. som en introlåt när de gick in på scenen.

The Boys övertalade The Ramones att spela ”Baby i love you” vilken The Ramones hade en Topp 10 hit med i Storbritannien. Problemet var att producenten, Phil Spector, hade använt sig av massor av studiomusiker när han producerade The Ramones skiva så de kunde faktiskt inte spela låten live. Det slutade med att Honest John Plain lärde Johnny Ramone ackorden. Casino Steel spelade keyboards och han samt Duncan Reid sjöng stämmor med The Ramones på scenen resten av turnén.

They make "cool" sounds and not only will your son love them, but they are also ideal for growing and development, they will learn how to read the time and they will also help your son to get into a routine by allowing him to set his alarm for when he needs to wake up in the morning.
Quality time
Remember that kids love to have fun and they need quality time with you, this is just as important as any present you buy them so make sure you dedicate at least a few hours "hanging" out with them on Christmas day.
