The Dr. Brown's Double Electric Breast Pump is very easy to use and painless. I have had a really hard time in the past with electric breast pumps, because they made my nipples rough and achy. I used the Ameda Purely Yours and it was actually a painful experience. I used Dr. Brown's bottles at the time, and I didn't even know that they made a pump. When I heard about it I figured to give it a try because I was ready to give up on pumping in general.
Since I've gotten it, it has made my life much easier. I can actually get about 8 oz. now in a half hour (I used to get 4). I noticed the difference right away, and the let-down reflex was stimulated faster than it ever had before. The assembly is simple and straight-forward and cleaning is quick and easy. It works much better for me than any pump I've used in the past.
The thing that really sets it apart to me is how comfortable it is. I have sensitive nipples, and the pump is very gentle. The pad is soft and the suction isn't too intense, like the case was with the Ameda electric breast pump.
When I called the company to replace a part, they were so friendly and sent me the piece right away. I couldn't believe how nice they were, and I would recommend any company to have such good service, because I will certainly buy from Dr. Brown's again.
I would strongly recommend this pump to any woman who has had similar problems to mine. If you find yourself really sore after pumping with another electric pump, buy this one! It's really made pumping a much more pleasant and enjoyable experience for me.
I really want to like this pump, but it broke after two weeks. The plastic is not exactly the highest quality. Still, it was very comfortable when it worked, and I am currently getting a new one in the mail for free. Customer service is very nice and accommodating at this company. There are better pumps out there, but this isn't bad. It could be the best option for someone that pumps occasionally.
